Dr. Shadi Zaghloul believes in treatment that is compassionate, holistic, and one that takes into account the biological, psychological and social determinants of a patient’s mental health.

Dr. Zaghloul is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He treats psychiatric illnesses with a combination of individual psychotherapy, psychiatric medications, and family therapy.

Dr. Zaghloul graduated medical school from the Jordan University Of Science and Technology in 2000. He came to the USA and completed his general adult psychiatry training at the University of Connecticut school of medicine in 2006 and then completed his child psychiatry fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliated fellowship program, in 2008. Dr. Zaghloul has privileges at Baystate Hospitals, Cooley Dickinson Hospital and Holyoke Medical Center. He has taught medical students, psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows. Dr. Zaghloul consults for two private high schools in Western Massachusetts. Dr. Zaghloul earned his M.B.A. degree with a focus on health care from the UMass-Amherst Isenberg School of Management in the spring of 2021. He has expertise in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
