Frequently asked questions
Where is the office located?
The office is located at 39 Main Street, Suite 34C, Northampton, MA 01060. Please don’t use the “Waze” app for directions. It will direct you to downtown Florence (another part of Northampton.) Please arrive in the area 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. There are parking spaces in front of the office building as well as within a very short walking distance to the office. One suggestion for your convenience and to save time is to download the Parkmobile app and use it to pay for the parking space. The cost of parking is $1.50 an hour.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
Dr. Zaghloul is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance.
After payment and upon your request, you will be provided with an invoice which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Based on insurance, such reimbursement varies widely and is generally less than what an out-of-network psychiatrist charges. Please verify with your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits and how much you will be reimbursed for an initial evaluation (CPT code 90792) and follow up visits (CPT codes 99213, 99214 and 99215) with an out-of-network psychiatrist.

How to request an initial evaluation:
To request an evaluation, please click here. You will hear back from Dr. Zaghloul within one to two business days. At the time of the phone-call consultation Dr. Zaghloul will discuss your request, determine how he can help, discuss office policies and schedule a time for the initial evaluation.
What happens next?
You will fill out some questionnaires on the Valant medical records system and meet with Dr. Zaghloul for an initial evaluation. After the full evaluation is completed which may happen in one or more appointments, you and Dr. Zaghloul will develop a treatment plan. After the completed evaluation, there is still a possibility that a patient may disagree with the diagnosis or treatment recommendations. Dr. Zaghloul may also decide that his practice setting is not appropriate to provide you with the best treatment. In that case, Dr. Zaghloul will give recommendations for treatment with another provider or agency.
Does Dr. Zaghloul do in person or telehealth appointments?
Dr. Zaghloul provides both in person and telehealth appointments. The initial evaluation is in person. After the evaluation is completed, which may require one or more sessions, you and Dr. Zaghloul will discuss your preferences for in person versus virtual visits and which option is best for your care.
Termination of treatment?
In certain situations, termination of treatment may be necessary. These situations are hopefully rare. Reasons for treatment termination include:
- Non-payment of balances due
- Frequent No shows or frequent last minute cancellations
- Aggressive or threatening behavior
- Patient request
In those cases, Dr. Zaghloul will offer alternatives and give recommendations for treatment with another provider or agency.
